Peru : A Splendid History of Textiles

Peru has a rich history of textiles: From Wool, Tweed, Feathers, Spidery Thin Yarns, Embroidery and many more exquisite Pre-Inca to Post-Inca superb samples.
One of my favorite places to see Chancay textiles is at the Museo Amano in Miraflores, Lima.
A wonderful small museum with exquisite pieces.
Alpaluxe also is proud of its tradition of promoting textiles with its shawls and scarves made from the finest fibers of Vicuna, Guanaco and Alpaca.
Featured is an original gouache inspired by textiles. You can find it under "Sets & Gifts" on our website: www.alpaluxe.com

Chullos = Ear Flap Hats

Our chullos are 80% Baby Alpaca and 20% Silk so they are extremely soft and light. Each one has a beautiful finish much like crochet or with lovely tassels. Great for skiiing and after ski wear or simply for city and fashion wear. This one featured is the "Tumi" chullo, you can find it on our web site at www.AlpaLuxe.com.
